Kamal has been passionate about horses since he was a child and started riding in Riyadh at the age of seven. Despite his recent marriage extensive business commitments, he has taken time to focus on his show jumping career. One of his most memorable career moments was winning team bronze at the Olympic Games in London. He has also won team and individual gold medals at the Pan Arab Games. He helped the Saudi team to gold at the Pan Arab Games in Doha in 2011. Kamal describes his parents as the most influential people in his career, encouraging his riding. Kamal even took his horses to the US where he was studying and his talent was spotted by the Saudi Equestrian leaders. Kamal has been trained by some of the greatest in the sport and among the most influential are Paul Schockemohle, Jan Tops and Stany Van Paesschen. His motto is: “You have to make the most of every day.” Kamal’s hobbies include golf and football. He has been nominated as a member of Young Global Leaders, part of the World Economic Forum, to coach young business people.
