Sergio began horseback riding at age 7 with his brothers, quickly developing an enviable talent. As a junior he won the European Championships (2001) and as an adult he has continued to achieve success after success. In 2011 alone he finished 4^th at the CSI5* Grand Prix in La Coruña, 2^nd at the Global Champions Tour CSI5* Grand Prix in Cannes and 5^th at the CSI5* Grand Prix in Paris. One of his most memorable career moments is coming 3^rd at the Grand Prix in Aachen in 2010 with Action Breaker, one of the finest horses he has worked with. Competing for the first time at Global Champions Tour in 2009, the Spanish rider considers GCT to be a ‘fantastic event’. His advice to other riders is to ‘keep riding and learning as much as you can from everyone.’
