Born in Belgium, Gregory Wathelet began riding at his father’s farm as a child. Some of the key highlights of his career include winning the CSI4* Grand Prix in Liége (2004) and the CSI4* Grand Prix in Wiesbaden (2007), coming 2^nd at the World Cup in Mechelen (2010) and winning the World Cup in Mechelen (2011). Overall though, his most memorable show jumping moments have been coming 4^th with his team at the World Championships in Aachen in 2006 and winning the Global Champions Tour Grand Prix in Cannes in 2007. In a career full of fantastic horses, he rates Lantinus and Cortes as the finest. If he had to describe Global Champions Tour in a few words he’d say ‘best riders and top sport.’
