A decorative red ribbon which forms the Valkenswaard logo finishes the design. International Concours Valkenswaard will be held for the 17th time this year on August 13-15th. Highlights of the show are the VDL Groep Grand Prix, eighth leg of the Global Champions Tour, on Saturday August 14th. The Derby will create again a spectacular finish on Sunday August 15th. During the entire event show jumping sport of the highest level is ensured with a total of six competitions which count towards World ranking points. The natural arenas, the surrounding buildings and the rural environment create a wonderful and relaxed atmosphere for the more than 30.000 spectators to enjoy. Both entrance to the showground and parking is free of charge. Visitors can also reserve a ticket for the covered stands during the show.
The Valkenswaard Horse Festival will commence the weekend before on August 6-8th and will then also run simultaneously with the International Concours Valkenswaard during the second weekend. The Horse Festival contains 4 competitions each day for international riders (including 6 and 7 year old Young Horses) and three competitions for special invitational riders.
Next to the show jumping, the Place du Concours offers a great place to shop, relax and enjoy food & drinks. The stylish VIP lounge serves breakfast, lunch and dessert and a first class view of the arenas.
On Saturday evening after the Global Champions Tour of the Netherlands Grand Prix there is a special themed party in the beautiful indoor arena of Stal Tops for riders and sponsors.
Valkenswaard is a small village near Eindhoven which sees it’s number of inhabitants double during the two week event. Located on the triangle between Belgium and Germany, Valkenswaard has close proximity to several airports in the region and also has very good train connections.
